From easy valley hikes or leisurely mountain walks to challenging trekking excursions or extreme high-alpine tours, with rustic stops along the way at down-to-earth huts and alpine pastures at all elevations: the impressive hiking landscape of Nauders at the Reschen Pass has it all. In this mountain world, families and mountaineers are encouraged to cross borders—the Three-Country Corner practically invites you to do so. Those who aren’t as strong on their feet or are still too young can reach the summit via hiking lifts in many places—and thanks to the 3-Country Summer Card GOLD, most of these rides are even free!

Maximum variety and views from behind the handlebars
The vast plateau of the Reschen Pass around Nauders is the No. 1 cycling destination for road bikes, mountain bikes, and e-bikes alike. The borders with Italy and Switzerland are just five kilometers from Nauders—an invitation to cross the border for some athletic adventures. A blend of Tyrolean down-to-earth charm and southern flair, featuring the most impressive peaks of the main Alpine range and a Mediterranean climate.
A blue-marked family tour around Lake Reschen, a „red“ one with plenty of gravel under your tires, or a „black“ three-country tour with singletrack trails through the wild and romantic Val ’d Uina, over the Schlinig Pass, or past Schwarzsee—the 3-Country Cycling & Mountain Biking Arena takes you to new heights. Road bike enthusiasts will also be in their element, as the most beautiful paved Alpine roads and passes—including the Stelvio Pass, Gampen Pass, Kaunertal Glacier Road, and Timmelsjoch—are all nearby.

Fun and excitement for the whole family
Brilliant entertainment for families. How is gold panned? How does an Archimedes screw work? And what does a forest xylophone actually sound like?
Families can find answers to these and many other questions in the Alpine „Goldwasser“ Experience World“, right next to the Bergkastel Panorama Restaurant in Nauders at 2,180 meters above sea level.
The Goldwasser Pass: It encourages children of all ages to put their skills to the test at five selected stations throughout the adventure world. This ensures there’s plenty of time to explore each area at a leisurely and enjoyable pace. For example, who will strike gold while panning for gold? Who will knock down all nine wooden pins in the bowling game? And who dares to tiptoe along the barefoot trail? For each task completed, participants can punch a new design into their pass and receive a small gift at the end at the Bergkastel Panorama Restaurant. Pass holders can also participate in the big „Goldwasser raffle“ in the fall.

Culture & Events
For many centuries, the region’s economic, political, cultural, and military border situation shaped the development of the area around the Reschen Pass. It was here that the Romans crossed the Alps along the Via Claudia Augusta, and it was here that, throughout the centuries, people fought over territories or defended themselves against invaders. Especially in and around Nauders, the border fortresses of Altfinstermünz, Naudersberg Castle, and the Nauders Fortress, along with historic border fortifications, bunkers, and defensive structures, as well as museums and many other attractions, bear witness to an eventful history. The everyday culture of the past and present comes to life during special village tours led by locals.
